The Amy Winehouse Foundation has launched its ‘Resilience Programme’, a drug and alcohol education and awareness programme delivered in secondary schools across England in partnership with Addaction.
This unique programme works with volunteers in recovery to deliver life experience share sessions and resilience classroom workshops focusing on peer pressure, self-esteem and risky behaviour.
Addaction works with teachers and students to provide therapeutic support to any student that requires a structured treatment intervention.
The Amy Winehouse Foundation is recruiting a Senior Volunteer Co-ordinator to recruit, manage and arrange training for volunteers in abstinent recovery to assist in the delivery of these Resilience Programme sessions. You will also be responsible for liaising with part-time volunteer co-ordinators in the South East and South West of England, acting as their immediate point of contact for any support they may need.
You should possess excellent communication, organisation and presentation skills and ideally have worked in a volunteer co-ordination role before, preferably within the field of substance misuse. You should be IT literate with competency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
This is a full time role at 35 hours per week.
Whilst relevant volunteer management qualifications would be seen as beneficial we also offer relevant NVQ level 3 training for this role.
Funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund
